D.T. Garner......

HEAL!!!!!!!! Part 2

We are continuing to receive wonderful recovery wishes for Dave.  We are happy to post them here as they come in.

Dave Garner

AKA "The Dog Whisperer"

Hey guys,

I can't thank you all enough for the posts, letters, e-mails, cards and especially the prayers.  I don't think the words "thank you" really seem adequate to do it justice.  Unfortunately it's all I have right now, so THANK YOU !!!!.

I am recovering slowly but surely.  Each day I see at least some improvement.  I get tired easy and that pisses me off but I never could sit still for long!  I guess the people in my group at Grantsville this year will have to deal with short easy trails......           .........NOT !!!

I love you all and can't wait to see you!

Sincerely,

DT

Dave,

I know I just spoke to you but we are all praying for your full and quick recovery. Things just would not be the same without you.

Get well soon Dave...Sorry but I had to throw a pic up here for all of your fans. This is the cleanest one I could find.

Love,

Dave you were the consummate "Apple Polisher" in the MPCTC Instructor School. You gave that presentation on Narc Dogs having never handled one... forcing me to come up with another topic...
I have to say that we had the best time it that the worst "Police Class" that I have ever attended. Good luck and Godspeed, you need to get back out there soon, I dont know who to call when I need a hound.

Hello Dave,

I wish you all the best for the New Year 2007 and I hope you'll get healthy soon. I like remembering the great time in Havelberg. The experiences that you gave us were very helpful for our work. Through your team we got to know that we are on the right way in mantrailing- traceprocess. We had successful applications in 2006, which acknowledged us how great your work was. The steps that you and your friends showed and learned us are only the beginning, and now it's important to keep going on our own.

I want to thank you for your personal application, and I wish you health and strength on your further way. In our minds we are with you und we know we have to be careful in our occupation.

The colleagues of Thuringia, especially me wish you all the best for your recuperation.

Yours Sincerely,

Volker Brandt

Captain of the police of Thuringia and boss of the police dogs

Dave,

I am glad to hear that you are recovering well. You gave quite a scare to all of us here at the USMS. Your actions and those of your fellow officers demonstrate the courage and dedication that makes all of us proud of what you do. You and your family are in our prayers. We had an opportunity to visit the St. Patrick’s Cathedral in NYC and asked St. Jude and the Blessed Mother to intercede on your behalf. Stay strong, get well, listen to your doctors and get that dog…lol…off the bed and back to work!

Best wishes to you and your family this New Year!

Hello Dave: I had posted your note to LPD and others for prayers to you and your family, I recently lost a friend in a drug battle and I know the feeling and pain that you go through with a loss of a friend. We are all glad to hear that you made it, and on the mend.
I attended last years training with my first BH "HANK THE STANK" that was the name they gave him well Jon did from Florida and it has stuck with me :) Hank that is his call name :) This year i will not be able to attend due to work load .But my first year with the hound has been a true inspiration and how honest the hound can be ..............................get better .......................stay safe.

My thoughts and prayers are with Dave and his loved ones. Please keep us updated on his condition. There have been way too many police officers killed or injured recently.

I will keep Him and his family in my prayers.

My K9 teams and I have always realized how dangerous our job classification is, but it's always gut wrenching to hear of handlers going down.

Our prayers are with Dave and his family.
