Police Bloodhound Seminar
Grantsville, Maryland
April 23-28, 2000
The search continues. Our bad guy was last seen on dry land heading towards some houses. Did the officers and bloodhounds make it through the swamp fast enough, or did our bad guy get a good enough head start?
Back on dry land the officers are picking up the pace, lets see if they get their man.

Steve and Lindy are out, and it looks like she is hot on the trail.

Jerry and Kopper are out as well enjoying the footing on dry land.

Bill and Duke are right behind the others. Looks like these officers and their bloodhound have trained well.
A long way up the hill, down the hill, through the thicket and the marsh, our bad guy is spotted. Looks like he climbed this tree to keep watch. He looks pretty confident that the bloodhounds will never find him 30 feet up a tree!

It looks like Barry & Firestorm were not fooled at all! Lets get that bad guy down and go home to dry off!

This is a great find for Barry & Firestorm, all of the training has paid off.
All four of our officers survived the swamp and found the bad guy, they can all be proud of a fantastic job done! That's what our dedication and training is all about.

Barry & Storm, just a little wet! But they have accomplished something to be proud of. Well done you two.

Bill & Duke, Jerry & Kopper. Bill and Jerry might need a rest, but Duke & Kopper look ready to go again. Great job guys.
This was the culmination of years of training. After trying new things for the week, the officers were offered the challenge to try the swamp. The swamp is an endurance test for both handler and bloodhound. These guys can feel a real sense of accomplishment and added confidence in completing this challenge.
